Applied Analysis Reading Group
Most of the lecture in this series are short courses of about four lectures each; the purpose of these lectures is to give an introduction to analytic techniques and point to the literature in the field. Lectures are occasionally interspersed with seminars.
Time and location: Wolfson Theatre (4W 1.7), Thursdays at 3:30pm unless stated otherwise.
We maintain a mailing list for this seminar. Please contact me if you wish to be included.

Amit Acharya, Leverhulme Visiting
Professor and Visiting Professor of Mathematical Sciences this autumn, will give a course on Continuum
mechanical modeling of the dynamics of dislocations (leading to plasticity) (8 October, 22 October, 5 November
plus one slot to be determined). The course outline is
online. The lectue notes are also available: lecture 1,
lecture
2, lecture 3.
